I recently visited a co-housing community right outside Durango where I interviewed five children about their thoughts on what school should look like.  I was pretty amazed at the one common thread which was, can you guess? Yes. They said kids should get to choose what they learn about.
  
I did videotape them experimentally and the sound was not good. However, until I return there with proper sound equipment whatever that is, any help with that appreciated by the way...I choose to post the vid...

Recently while in a traditional school I asked a group of fifth graders to describe a perfect school...how they would like to experience school.  I was amazed at their responses...most of them mentioned things like it would be clean, children would "behave," everyone ould walk in straight lines, and some said no homework.  Not even one student mentioned things like choosing what we want to learn, or having fun.  These reponses differed immensely from when I asked children in my program Open D...

In the last week we've been on Internet radio twice and no sooner did I get off the radio today, than I came home to find another request for us to go on yet another show.  Our first two shows were Peter Tongue's "Conscious Co-Creation" and Cezarina and Santari's show "Quantum Creativity".

I was about to go to bed are trying to install the social comments Facebook app. on the site and there was a video on Facebook posted by my friend Peggy, and called "Parents teach their children to die."

I was at the recreation center here in Durango, Colorado in the women's locker room.  My attention was caught by the sound of a child letting out a small cry. He was obviously upset by something. I turned and what followed was incredible.  First I started to talk to him in a calming tone without talking down to him.  I empathized with him and then we made eye contact.  In that moment the real conversation began.  We shared our feelings.
